Awards

The trajectory of teCH4+ has accumulated recognitions on two different levels: scientific, linked to the research that gave rise to the Polanco Process, and business-related, linked to the project that brought it to market.

At the scientific level, the research team from the University of Valladolid received the Honour Award (Design Projects) 2014 from the International Water Association (IWA), the leading international association in the water sector, for the design of the thermal hydrolysis plant at the Valladolid WWTP.

At the business level, teCH4+ received in its early years the Hazlo Ahora Award from Philip Morris Spain (endowed with €20,000) and was selected for the clean technology accelerator Climate KIC (€15,000), representing Spain in the Venture Competition in Frankfurt. These recognitions are joined by the Ecopreneurs Award, granted by Ecopreneurs for the Climate.
