AEAS 50th Anniversary Celebration

AEAS, the Spanish Association of Water Supply and Sanitation, celebrated its 50th Anniversary yesterday, June 28, 2023, with a commemorative event at the National Auditorium in Madrid. This professional association, which has almost 300 members, was recently joined (“last, but not least”) by teCH4+ with its thermal hydrolysis technology for the sustainable management of organic waste and the circular economy.

This commemorative event had the participation of prominent personalities from the sector, such as the vice president and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, and the Secretary of State for the Environment, Hugo Morán.

In addition, it included the presentation of several badges of the “The Blue Drop of AEAS” award, awarded to professionals linked to the Association with careers of recognized prestige in the field of urban water management. As a culmination, the Camerata Musicalis orchestra offered a classical music concert with the value of water and its importance as a common thread.

AEAS is the leading professional association in the urban water sector in Spain since its establishment in 1973 as a non-profit professional association for the promotion and development of the scientific, technical, administrative and legal aspects of urban water supply services. water and sanitation.

Since then, it encompasses managing entities (municipal services and public, private and mixed entities) that provide supply and sanitation services to around 80% of the Spanish population, as well as technology companies, public organizations and individual experts.
