Equipment for thermal treatment plants for organic waste

teCH4+ has developed specific environmental technology products aimed at improving the safety, efficiency and reliability of organic waste treatment plants. These products respond to specific process needs such as hygienisation, heat transfer and the preservation of mechanical integrity, and are designed to be integrated easily and robustly into new or existing facilities.

Turnkey thermal hydrolysis plants

Thermal hydrolysis turnkey plants

teCH4+ develops and supplies turnkey plants for thermal hydrolysis, integrated into the existing or planned sludge line. This service includes all phases of the project: engineering (conceptual, basic and detailed), manufacturing/procurement and supply of equipment, transport, installation, commissioning and start-up. It also includes all the mechanical, electrical and automation/control elements required for the optimal operation of the plant.

The turnkey approach reduces interfaces, minimises integration risks and ensures that the technology is implemented in accordance with the design, safety and performance criteria defined by the technologist at the start of the project.

Higienizadores / Pasteurizadores

Hygienisers / Pasteurisers

When the main objective is to eliminate pathogens from organic waste, and biogas generation is of secondary importance, hygienisation/pasteurization may be the most technically and economically attractive process.

With a typical minimum temperature of 70ºC and residence times ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, pasteurization is the thermal process with the mildest operating conditions, resulting in lower technical complexity and lower investment and operating costs.

As in any thermal process, the key to the hygienisation of organic waste is optimal energy integration that takes into account the specific situation of the plant where this process is installed.

Inyectores de vapor en línea

In-line steam injectors

Conventional thermal processes feed cold waste into a tank which, once full, receives heating steam. In-line steam injectors, designed and manufactured by teCH4+, make it possible to reverse this logic and feed the tank with waste that is already hot. With this system, the heating stage is eliminated and the process is therefore optimised, while hygienisation is guaranteed through direct contact between the waste and steam. As external and easily accessible equipment, both installation and maintenance are particularly simple.

Protección anti-desgaste

Anti-wear protection

The carryover of unwanted materials such as sand, plastics or glass, which are present in most organic waste, poses a risk of abrasive erosion in the plants that process them, and this risk increases as operating conditions become more severe.

Although the first measure should be to minimise these unwanted materials at source, the use of anti-wear protection at critical points of the installation makes it possible, through the application of custom designs and advanced materials, to preserve the mechanical integrity of the plants.
