Seville Copero II WWTP

Within the framework of the Project to Adapt the Treatment of the Seville WWTPs for Discharge to a Sensitive Area in the Doñana Environment, of the Junta de Andalucía, a profound reorganization of Seville's sanitation that contemplates the closure of the San Jerónimo and Tablada WWTPs and the transfer of their flows to the Copero WWTP, whose comprehensive expansion guarantees the demanding environmental objectives.

This expansion included a second thermal hydrolysis plant, adjacent to the original one, to treat the increased sludge volume. After evaluating the main alternatives, the project contractor selected teCH4+ technology, backed by the results obtained in other commercial installations in operation.
