Valencia Pinedo WWTP

The Valencian Community's Public Entity for Wastewater Treatment (EPSAR) included thermal hydrolysis technology as an improvement in its Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services tender.

After analysing the various commercially available alternatives, the winning consortium, formed by DAM, SAV, and Global Omnium, selected teCH4+ thermal hydrolysis technology.

The plant has enabled increased biogas production with stable operation. This energy efficiency has been achieved with lower energy consumption than designed, thanks to the utilisation of waste heat from the engines.
